Docplanner, a leading digital healthcare platform, introduced an online consultation system along with payments functionality in 2020. In 2022, I joined the team as a product designer to deliver a new end-to-end payment desktop and app experience for both patients and healthcare providers.

My role was to create an end-to-end digital payment flow that served both patient convenience and doctor efficiency. For doctors, I integrated an entirely new Payments Area right into their Docplanner account in SaaS. This meant they could finally stop worrying about no-shows thanks to flexible payment options, covering upfront payments, ad hoc requests and the Book Now, Pay Later solution. They also got a clear, centralized dashboard to manage everything from finances to calendars in one place. As a bonus, patients who paid through our system received a "verified review" label, boosting the doctor's online reputation and trust in our marketplace platform.

For patients, I designed a secure and convenient in-app wallet. This made paying for an appointment super easy, with options like saved cards and one-tap payments. It also gave them a clear overview of their payment history and status.

The whole experience was designed to feel modern and effortless, becoming an integral part of their medical history in the app, linked with their visits and other medical services.

Since the new Payments Area launch in 2024, it quickly gained traction, reaching significant adoption in all 6 countries where Docplanner Payments solution is available, resulting in €2.8M TPV (Total Payments Volume), more than €1M yearly revenue and keeping 16% QoQ increase.
